Modest Fashion Week is an annual fashion platform co-founded by Franka Soeria and Turkish entrepreneur Özlem Şahin. The duo, who met in Istanbul, initially decided to launch Modest Fashion Week in order to tackle the stereotypes that surround modest dressing by celebrating and showcasing modern modest designers from around the world. Thus, Istanbul Modest Fashion Week was born.
The fashion platform has invited modest influencers, retail vendors, and tastemakers from all points of the globe, including Jordan, Kuwait, the UAE, India, and Singapore, to partake in this year’s event. Some of the international brands showcasing this year from Indonesia, Azerbaijan, The United States and UAE among many others.
CR by Tika Ramlan is a brand created by an Indonesian singer who decided to wear hijab, one year ago. The brand journey started her desire to make a scarf that is modern and comfortable to wear for all Muslim women. Along with the time, she finally decided to make Syari clothes for women and widely accepted by Syari clothing lovers in Indonesia. The brand named CR by Tika Ramlan. The name taken by her daughter name Chayra which means goodness, kindness of a woman. The brand put emphasis on comfort and feminine designs.
CR by Tika Ramlan from Indonesia injects her hijabs, scarves, long dresses and full skirts with cheery pops of color, from blush pink and bright maroon to sky blue and pale mauve.
